Before you start receiving fruit, it is important to understand a few basic terms used in the system:
Carton Equivalents (The Golden Rule):
To keep math simple and accurate, everything on the dashboard is displayed in Cartons. Even if you received bags, or dispatched retail lugs, the system automatically converts those numbers back into cartons for the dashboard views.
Live Data vs. Snapshots:
The "Live Stock Table" changes continuously throughout the day as your team sorts, packs, and moves fruit. The "Balancing Section," however, is a locked snapshot that only calculates once the daily stocktake is complete.
Opening and Closing Stock:
Today's "Opening Stock" is simply whatever yesterday's "Closing Stock" was.
Excluded Fruit:
Rejected and Non-Conforming pallets are separated out at the bottom of the dashboard. They are not mixed into your usable Class 2 or Class 3 stock tables, so you don't accidentally plan to pack fruit you cannot use.
Goal:
To see exactly how much fruit is in the facility right now, where it is, and how ripe it is.
Steps:
Open the Dashboard from the main menu.
Scroll to the Live Data Table (Stock Planning Table).
Use the tabs/filters to select Class 2 or Class 3.
View the grid to see the exact carton quantities broken down by Size (e.g., 16, 18, 20), Firmness (Hard, Breaking, Orange, Green), and Location (Ripening Room vs. Cold Room).
Toggle to the Pie chart view to see the total amount of usable stock in the facility.
Quick Note:
The live table only displays pallets currently cold and ripeing rooms.
Goal:
To prove that all physical fruit matches the system's math at the end of the day.
Steps:
Ensure the floor team has 100% completed the physical Stocktake in every single room.
Go to the Balancing Section on the Dashboard.
The system will automatically calculate the Expected Stock using this formula: OPening stock + Received Fruit - Dispatched Fruit - Waste +/- (Overpacks/Underpacks).
It then compares the Expected Stock to your actual physical Closing Stock (from the Stocktake).
Check the status indicator. It will either say "Balanced!" or show a discrepancy.
What Happens Next?:
Any stocke changes made after the balancing section has been triggered will roll over into the next days reconciliation.
Goal:
To see a high-level breakdown of what left the facility (sales) or was thrown away (losses).
Steps:
Scroll to the Daily Dispatch section. Here you can see a detailed breakdown of what was dispatch based on class (e.g., how many Freshmark 2's vs. Hospitality cartons).
The system will display the carton equivalent next to each line item.
What Happens Next?:
This data is reviewed by management for profitability and yield reporting.
Your daily Stocktake is not finished. Check the Stocktake module to find which room is still marked as "In Progress."
